How Do You Sell A Product On Facebook?

Comments Off on How Do You Sell A Product On Facebook?

This article will answer the question how do you sell a product on Facebook? It’s relatively easy, all you need is a Facebook welcome page.

You can put practically anything on a Facebook page, so long as you can write it out in HTML, or hire someone like me to do it for you.

Facebook used to have a code called FBML, but now it’s using iFrame, and there are many ways to put things in the iFrame of a custom Facebook page tab.

For example, you can use an application like Static HTML: iFrame Tabs, or any number of other free applications.

You just add them to your page, and then it lets you type out the HTML of the things you want on your page.

I’m not going to go into how to put photos and Pay Pal buttons together on a page using HTML, because it’s fairly complicated, and I can do it for you, as I’m offering that service starting at fifty dollars.

Sell A Product On Facebook

It’s pretty easy to sell products on a Facebook page, you just get the embed code for a You Tube video, and the code for a Pay Pal button, and the URL of a photo that you want to put on the page, and then send them to me, and I’ll put them together into an attractive welcome page design.

If you want to see one of my welcome pages, here’s a basic one called Welcome Page.

As you can see, it has a You Tube video, a photo, and a link to the page on this site that is selling that service.

I can put in anything that you have the code for, or if you just want a link to your site, I could put something together through a page builder like Pagemodo for you.

The problem with those sort of “free” Facebook welcome page making sites is that you only get to make one page for free, it’s very limited in functionality, and you have to pay a monthly fee to get the ads removed.

In my opinion it makes a lot more sense writing out what you want on the page in HTML, and then it’s yours to change or add to as you want, and you don’t have to pay any monthly fees.

Can You Make Money Directly From Facebook?

The question is can you make money directly from Facebook? The answer is yes, you can definitely make money from your Facebook page, without people ever leaving the site.

I can make you a Facebook welcome page that has Pay Pal buttons, opt-in forms, sales videos, photos, or anything you want on it.

I can even make a mini-site where people can navigate from page to page, without ever leaving the iFrame or Facebook.

It’s relatively easy to do, you can use an app like Static HTML: iFrame Tabs to put any HTML code you want on your welcome page, or you can use the Developers section to do more complex multi-page set-ups.

Studies show that people usually only visit your page once, and then never return, even if they like the page.

This means that you have to capture them as a customer, subscriber, or downloader on the first visit, it’s of crucial importance.

Make Money Directly From Facebook

I can teach you how to make money directly from Facebook, or use apps like Just Redirect to send people to any URL from a page tab.

I know a lot about Facebook marketing, HTML, and internet marketing in general, and I can tell you if your business is justified in spending money on a Facebook marketing campaign, or if you would be better off choosing some other form of social media marketing campaign.

Often, a business is better served by competing on Google, or by using a different advertising method, because it doesn’t have the widespread appeal needed to compete on social media.

If you don’t have good advice, you may end up wasting a lot of time and money on the wrong sort of internet marketing campaign, so it’s a good idea to talk to an expert, like me.

Whatever your business, you can send me a message to talk about the best way to get customers at

How Do You Create A Fan Page On Facebook?

Comments Off on How Do You Create A Fan Page On Facebook?

How do you create a fan page on Facebook? It’s easy, or relatively easy, if you know a bit about source code.

Firstly, you can make a free custom fan page using something like Pagemodo, Wix, or Reverb Nation for music, but it has an ad for their site on the page, (which looks kind of nasty), and to get it removed, or to get more options, or to make more than one page, you have to pay a monthly fee which just isn’t worth it.

Here’s how you create a fan page on Facebook using HTML. Simply search for this app on Facebook: Static HTML: iFrame Tabs and install that on your page.

This gives you the option of putting source code for anything directly on your welcome page, and you even get to choose a secondary page, that people only see once they’ve clicked on the like button.

How To Create A Fan Page On Facebook Using HTML

If you are a complete beginner, then it’s probably not worth you reading the rest of this post, as you will probably mess it up, but you can hire me to make a Facebook welcome page for you, just send me a message at to discuss what you want on your fan page.

It starts at only fifty dollars, and that’s for a basic construction of a nice looking page out of various You Tube embed codes, photo URLs, Pay Pal button codes, and opt-in form codes.

I can do most things for that price, but I may also have to give you advice on how to find the photo URL, and how to get a Pay Pal button made up, and what the strategy should be, and all of that.

Anyway, getting back to the question at hand, which is: how do you create a fan page on Facebook?

Creating a Facebook Welcome Page Using HTML

Let’s start with the basic source code tags, that you will want to type out in an HTML editor like Aptana. That’s a great free piece of software, so make sure you download it, even if you get a better one later.

You will want the <HTML> tag on the first line, then maybe <HEAD> on the second, (if you want a header).

Then a <TITLE>How Do You Create A Fan Page On Facebook?</TITLE> on the third line, although you don’t actually need that.

I’ve just heard that it’s good to have all the usual HTML of a regular page, as some browsers like Internet Explorer don’t show pages unless they have certain things in the source code.

Close the header with a </HEAD> tag, and then start the body with a <BODY> tag.

On the next line, you might decide you want a You Tube video, or a photo, but you have to bear in mind that it should be no wider than 510 pixels, or it won’t fit into the iFrame properly.

If you want a You Tube video, get the embed code, and edit it so it’s 510 pixels wide. This fits nicely into the dimensions of the iFrame.

Now, you may want a photo of the same width. First, make sure your photo is uploaded to your server, or at least a server.

Then you get the URL of the photo. If you don’t know how to find that, try clicking on it and then clicking again until you reach the photo’s address, or right click on it, and select copy image location, or if you just uploaded it to your WordPress media files, then you should be able to work out how to find the photo URL.

The code for a photo looks like this: <img src=”” width=”510 height=”350″/>.

If you want to move it around, try using the &nbsp: code, which acts like pressing the space bar.

If you want to make it a link, then use this code: <a href=””><img src=”” width=”510″ height=”350″/></a>

I won’t go on anymore with the source code, but you copy that directly into the app, and then change the settings so that first-time visitors will see that when they arrive at your fan page, and there you have it.

How do you create a fan page on Facebook? You either learn how to write in HTML, or you hire someone like me to do it for you. I can put almost anything you want on the page, even make a mini-site within the iFrame. Just send me a message at to discuss.

Facebook Fan Page Design

If you want a good Facebook fan page design, you can either learn how to do it yourself, hire someone to do it, or use one of the free page builders.

On this page, I will be explaining all of the different ways to design a professional Facebook fan page, starting out with the free options.

I have used Pagemodo to create one page, you can see it on the welcome page of Social Promotion Services, which isn’t too bad.

The major problem with Pagemodo is that you have to pay a monthly fee in order to get the ads removed, or to design more than one Facebook fan page.

I have looked into some other free options like Wix, but I found that their ads were even more tacky, and I wasn’t going to pay a monthly fee for them to host my Facebook fan page, when I could quite easily design one myself.

Facebook Fan Page Design

Facebook Fan Page Design
I have designed a number of high quality Facebook fan pages, (or I think they’re pretty good anyway), which I will show you below, and I will also explain how I did it, in case you want to build one yourself.

I start out with an HTML editor like Aptana, and then I add a few different codes like a You Tube video embed code, my photo URLs plus the code to add the photo: <img src=”photourl”>

I have found the easiest way to write spaces in HTML is by entering &nbsp; which I use to move the photos, videos, opt-in forms and Pay Pal buttons into the right positions.

I use Photoshop to make photos with text on them, and then I embed my link in the photo to make it live.

In order to embed a link in a photo, you should use this code: <a href=”yoururl”><img src=”photourl” width=”10″ height=10″></a>

You may also want to add: target=”new” just before the first >. This will make it open in a new window, or you may prefer to build a mini site, where people stay inside the iFrame, although this requires building multiple pages that fit within the dimensions of 510 pixels.

You save the html file after you’re happy with it, and upload it to a folder in your server’s public HTML.

Then, you have to rename the file index.html after you’ve uploaded it, or it won’t work. Sound complicated?

Anyway, if you made your file public on a URL on your site, you take that URL, and enter it into the canvas page settings when building an app in the Developer’s section of Facebook.

You also need a SSL certificate on your server so you can give them a safe https address as well. I’ve explained this in more detail in a Factoidz article I wrote recently: How To Create A Facebook Welcome Page.

My Facebook Fan Pages

Affordable Social Media Marketing Services
Here are a couple of examples of pages that I have built recently for myself, advertising this site.

Welcome Page is a pretty good one, if I do say so myself. It’s got the You Tube video, the attractive looking text, and a link to this site, which opens in a new window.

Also on that page is a few tabs with different options. For example, if you click on the Facebook Page Likes tab, you can buy two hundred and fifty Facebook likes through the Pay Pal button on that page.

If you click on Buy Welcome Page, you are redirected to the page on this site called Facebook Welcome Page.

The image above is the one I use on my other page: Affordable Social Media Marketing Services.

I didn’t put a Pay Pal button on the pages to do with the Facebook fan page design, because I have to talk to people first, in order to work out what they want, and give them an estimate of how much it will cost to build.
